Missing My Mother

Here it is this time of year again when I am reminded of how long it has been since I have got to hug my mother and tell her how much I love her. God gave me and my siblings the best mother in the world. She was always there for you and you could depend on her to pray for you and your children and your grandchildren and your spouse every single day. She was such a prayer warrior and such a lover of the Word. She loved Jesus with all her heart, mind and soul. She also loved my Dad the same way and each member of her family. She was a Proverbs 31 Mother! Her children called her blessed! Oh, Mother, how much I miss you. I wish you could hug all your new grandchildren. You would be so amazed at them. I wish to honor you in this post and to let others know how wonderful you were. I want all your grandchildren to know you. The ones that got to see you on this earth were blessed and the rest will see you in the Kingdom. Just know, that you and Dad started a great legacy and you will never be forgotten. I've continued on with praying for each family member just as I knew you did. I pray that your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will continue to be godly examples and a light on a hill. Thank you for being my mother! Love, your daughter, Dottie

Oh Dottie - You had to do it. I was just ready to go to bed but thought I'd check the blog. There was your post - now the tears are flowing. As much as I miss Dad, I have been thinking so much of Mom lately. Seven years have passed, but there are still times that for a split second I think I better call Mom. Oh how she loved her family. She was so kind and understanding. She treated Lindsay just like one of her own daughters. They would talk for hours on the phone. Lindsay loved her so much. I did too, but Dad rubbed off on me and I had a difficult time saying those three words, "I Love You". I only hope she knew how much I did love her. Thank you Dottie for remembering Mom. We were blessed with the greatest parents in the world. And even though I am always teasing all of my sisters, I love you Ginger, Dottie & Vickie.

Love your brother, Bob

Ok I stopped crying from Dottie's post and then I come in here and read yours Bob and I'm crying all over again. Same thing is happening with me and the tears just have been flowing on and off for days. We all love them so dear and thats why it is so hard. They both are not suffering any more and that is good thing. It is so hard for us here cause we feel the loss of them not being here with us in the physical sense. Sure is funny how dogs sense something is wrong. Josey has been a comfort for me just staying real close to me. Miss you Mom and may you and Dad rest in peace. Love you to Bob Ginger and Dottie and may we get through another year. Oh Bob she knew you loved her in every way...

I miss Grandma and Grandpa too. How wonderful it would be to have them here for all of the great grandchildren to know, love and learn from. They were the best grandparents ever. I would love to sit and talk with Grandma now and hear her share about history, her love for America and learn from her wealth of knowledge and wisdom about our Christian heritage in this nation. She was one of a kind and truly a virtuous woman. My heart goes out to you, Mom, and to Ginger, Vickie, and Bob. I can't imagine how I would be without you, Mom, my most awesome mother. My prayers are with you all. But I do see that you have become excellent grandparents and great aunts and uncles yourselves and followed in Grandma and Grandpa's footsteps. All the grandchildren love and adore you as we did them. I praise God for the time we had together and the family dynasty He has continued to bless. I look forward to the day when we will all be with Christ for eternity. I love you, Mom!!! Your Daughter, Jodi

Bob and Vickie - All right, now you had me crying all over again. Thank you for extending this post into an awesome tribute to our Mother and Dad. BOB, YES, MOTHER KNEW YOU LOVED HER! She was so proud of you and loved you so dearly. And, like Dad, before you ever wrote this down, I knew you loved us. I LOVE YOU BOB, GINGER AND VICKIE!!! Jodi, it is a privelege to be your Mother, as well as Troy's, Kenny's and Tami's. Oh, how right you are, Mom loved her history and her country. Yes, they did leave a great dynasty. Love you all. Dottie...I too have been really missing Mom. I did not see your post yesterday and was asleep when you called last evening...I wasn't feeling well but am better today. Your post was beautiful, Vickie's and Bob's comments also said so much about our wonderful Mom. She always had words of encouragement, a prayer on her heart, love in her Being and demonstrated the role of a tremendous role model. Sometimes I sit back and just remember the wonder of her love, kindness and beautiful blue eyes. I miss seeing them shine and dance when she laughed or hearing her say "Oh Vic" "Grin"...always so sweet! Thank you for sharing and bringing back such fond memories of the definition of LOVE...OUR MOM!!! Love, Ginger
